Strain gauging & Structural tests
Strain gauging - Our services include the installation of strain gauges and ancillary sensors, for any application, both on field and laboratory. Virtually no limits arise in applying sensors in harsh environment due to the skills of our team and the equipments / materials employed.
A list of cases of sensors' application and protection in harsh environment follow:
- Strain gauges shielding (against mechanical impacts)
- Welded strain gauges (onto a non clean surfaces)
- Strain gauges at low / high temperature (5 K;1200 K)
- Submersed in water, oils, chemicals (low pressure)
- Submersed in water (high pressure up to 300 bar)
- Strain gauges onto plastics, composites
- Strain gauges embedded in plastics, concrete, asphalt
- Thermic sensors in proximity of welding lines
- Submersed thermic sensors (water, oils, chemicals)
- Electromagnetic sensors' shielding
Design and installation of force and torque transducers
Following the installation of the single transducers, our services include the installation of load cells, torquemeters, and all the transducers involved in force, torque and weight measurements. On demand we can also realize customized elastic elements for force / couple transducers. A list of our capabilities follows:
- Installation of force transducers (force, torque, pressure)
- Design, by FEM, and manufacturing of customized elastic elements
- Transducers' construction and calibration
- Realization measuring chains (transducers to devices)
Embedded strain gauging
Such technique allows the construction of plastic models / prototypes, with embedded strain gauges to detected the internal state of stress. Models and prototypes build with this technique can be tested at bench or in real service.
